Careers

We build production software for private equity firms.

Our work focuses on turning unstructured deal data into reliable systems used in sourcing, diligence, and portfolio work. We're a small team, work closely with customers, and care deeply about correctness, security, and maintainability.

We're a small team building software used in real investment workflows. The work favors judgment, ownership, and follow-through over specialization.

Twing.AI is not a good fit if you:

  • -Prefer highly defined tasks, long planning cycles, or large-team process
  • -Want to focus on research, experimentation, or model novelty over production systems
  • -Are looking for a 9–5 role with fixed scope and minimal customer interaction
  • -Expect a mature product, stable requirements, or dedicated platform teams
  • -Are uncomfortable making technical decisions with incomplete information

Open Roles

AI Engineer

Data Retrieval and AI Systems

You'll design and operate systems that extract, normalize, and analyze messy real-world data (CIMs, PDFs, call notes). The work is less about demos and more about building reliable pipelines that hold up in production.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain retrieval pipelines (chunking, indexing, ranking, evaluation)
  • Build AI-assisted workflows with clear constraints and deterministic behavior
  • Develop backend services with defined SLAs, logging, and monitoring
  • Measure quality, latency, and cost; improve systems based on real usage
  • Ensure isolation, security, and auditability for enterprise customers

Requirements

  • 5+ years building production systems involving search, ML, or data platforms
  • Experience with embeddings, vector stores, and retrieval evaluation
  • Hands-on experience running LLMs in production (vendor or BYOK)
  • Strong TypeScript and/or Python; solid API and data modeling skills
  • Pragmatic mindset: prefer simple, testable systems over clever abstractions

Expectations

  • Willing to push during critical launches, balanced by sustainable work most of the time
  • Own systems end-to-end, from design to production support
  • Work independently in ambiguous problem spaces
  • Write clear, maintainable code and document decisions

Forward Deployed Engineer

Customer Deployment and Integration

You'll work directly with customers to deploy and adapt Twing to their workflows, then feed those learnings back into the core product. This role blends engineering, systems thinking, and customer judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deployments from scoping through production
  • Integrate CRMs, document systems, and internal data sources
  • Configure secure, tenant-isolated environments
  • Translate customer needs into concrete product changes
  • Produce clear runbooks and handoffs

Requirements

  • 5+ years in software or solutions engineering with customer‑facing work
  • Strong TypeScript and systems integration skills; comfort with cloud networking
  • Excellent communication; credibly engage senior operators and investment teams
  • Experience in fast, ambiguous environments; calm under pressure

Expectations

  • Flexibility during launches and customer go-lives
  • High bar for reliability, security, and communication
  • Comfort operating independently with customer stakeholders

AI Automation Engineer

Workflow Automation and Applied AI

You'll build and ship automation workflows using existing platforms and tools. This role is about making systems work better today, not inventing new infrastructure from scratch. You'll work across customer workflows and internal systems to automate repetitive processes, connect data sources, and embed AI into real business operations. This is a strong fit for engineers who want to grow into more senior systems or AI roles by shipping real production automations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy automation workflows using approved low-code / no-code platforms
  • Integrate LLM-powered steps (prompting, retrieval, summarization) into business processes
  • Build API-driven connections between internal systems and third-party tools
  • Add basic observability, error handling, and retries to workflows
  • Document automations clearly and support handoff to internal or customer teams
  • Iterate quickly based on real usage and feedback

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years in software, automation, or technical operations roles
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g. n8n, Zapier, Make, Retool, similar)
  • Familiarity with APIs: REST, auth, webhooks, basic schemas
  • Practical experience using LLMs in workflows (prompting, retrieval, summarization)
  • Comfortable working with collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence)

Expectations

  • Bias toward shipping working solutions over perfect abstractions
  • Comfort operating within constrained, security-aware environments
  • Willingness to learn new tools quickly and apply them pragmatically
  • Ownership of outcomes, even when using off-the-shelf platforms
  • Clear written communication and documentation
