AI Engineer
Retrieval, Agents, and Orchestration
Design and operate RAG systems, retrieval pipelines, and agentic workflows that deliver precise business outcomes in PE contexts.
Responsibilities
- •Own end‑to‑end RAG architectures: chunking, indexing, ranking, and evaluation
- •Build agent frameworks with tool use, memory, and guardrails for deterministic outputs
- •Develop retrieval and orchestration services with strict SLAs and observability
- •Instrument quality: grounding, faithfulness, latency, and cost with regression gates
- •Harden systems for isolation, security, and auditability in enterprise settings
Requirements
- •5+ years in ML/AI or search systems; strong systems background
- •Deep familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and evaluation
- •Production experience with LLM providers and model hosting (BYOK and vendor keys)
- •Excellent TypeScript/Python; strong data modeling and API design
- •Bias for simplicity; prove ideas with working software fast
Expectations
- •Intensity and focus during critical phases (9–9–6 cadence may apply)
- •Own outcomes end‑to‑end; measure and iterate without supervision
- •Operate with high judgment under ambiguity; write and ship clean code
Forward Deployed Engineer
Customer Delivery and Product Integration
Embed with customers to ship the last mile. Build rich customizations, integrate data sources, and channel field insights back into the core product.
Responsibilities
- •Own deployments from scoping to production; unblock customers decisively
- •Integrate CRMs and data sources; configure secure, tenant‑isolated environments
- •Customize agents, prompts, and outputs to match firm‑specific formats
- •Capture field feedback; translate into crisp product requirements and patches
- •Create clear runbooks and handoffs; ensure durable success post‑launch
Requirements
- •5+ years in software or solutions engineering with customer‑facing work
- •Strong TypeScript and systems integration skills; comfort with cloud networking
- •Excellent communication; credibly engage senior operators and investment teams
- •Experience in fast, ambiguous environments; calm under pressure
Expectations
- •Customer‑first urgency; travel or extended hours as needed for go‑lives
- •High bar for reliability, security, and documentation
- •Operate with intensity; 9–9–6 cadence may apply during critical windows
